Since the Arkansas trip washed out, I am hitting the Roanoke River here in NC this weekend. It seems to be little early but word is that they caught a few last week. With a bit of luck I might have sandpaper thumb by monday morning.
I’ll probably start going after stripers mid-May. There’s a lot of great piers in NYC. Also, last year I waded into Little Neck Bay. I started and high tide, and worked the shore.
A little bird tells be that I may be able to cut that countdown in half…..hmmmmmmmm.
The sooner the better, without a doubt.

I’m going to try beach fishing for the schoolies soon, as well. Time to dust off the stripping basket.
It’s like the calm before the storm

Definitely like watching a hurricane on Storm Tracker and waiting for it to roll in.
How’d you do in Little Neck? There are a few new spots in other bays I scouted out over the winter that I’m itching to try.
Have you been out yet this year?
Not yet, Jason. I was hoping to give it a go sometime this week or next, see what’s around.
Spring is here…… can’t wait for evening fishing while listening to baseball on the radio… too bad the Yanks at Sox this weekend looks so soggy!!
