Thanks Tom. I wish my brother landed a fish right after, but as it happened it was just a last cast.
One question: is the boga grip necessary? Would that fish bite you if you don´t use it? It has big teeth…
I don’t like using nets, so the boga is necessary unless you use the vulcan neck pinch technique.But they tend to freak out when you get them boatside so the boga helps keep them under control to remove the hook. They definitely bite. I’ve got pike teeth gashes on my knuckles and fingers from a few careless releases.
