I don’t think the few commercial fisherman that once fished for them or the sporties are the problem .This great fish is in trouble and I hope we can find out why before its to late
I’m not sure if I mentioned it in another comment but John McPhee’s book on shad is a must read
I remember going back to college after spring break going over the TZ bridge and seeing those nets in the water .That was a long time ago.
McPhee’s book Founding Fish is awesome, and one of my favorite works of nonfiction. I recommend that book to anyone, whether they’re interested in shad or not.
