A cold front and a surprising dearth of fishing time made it tough going on the ditch fishing, but it’s still worth getting a look at even one peacock bass. A rental car and a five-weight are all you need to gain access.

nice job Pete
Gotta love those peacocks… I used to live in South Florida, and fished for them every chance I could get! I actually miss fishing for the so much that I am planning a trip to Brazil to fish the Rio Negro for giant peacock next December (2009). We are looking for other anglers to join us for a discounted trip. If you are interested or know anyone interested, please visit the related post on my site here: http://ifishct.com/blog/2008/07/19/peacock-bass-fisherman-wanted-for-discounted-fishing-adventure-of-a-lifetime-rio-negro-brazil/
Good job on the butterfly, let me know if you are interested in joining our group!
