Even The Bass Pile On Sometimes

The tools of ignorance, laid out for the ready.

I Google Earthed the locale near my hotel. Water. Accessible water.

Chained and barred.

Sometimes the satellites do not present the full picture.

Bag O Flies

I took to Beta testing some bad-ass prototypes from WT. Prognosis? They cast well and swim well. Fish? What do you want? It’s Florida in July; 95 degrees in the freaking gloaming. Due time for paydirt.

Not pictured, moros y cristianos

Field testing in the name of science builds an appetite. This is what you call a dynamic cuban sandwich.

On to the hotel bar to cleanse the palate and hear the lounge act.

  1. The Lounge Act. Wow. There are people who cover good songs and ruin them, for which I have little respect.

But then there are acts like these folks, who take a horrible song, throw it in a blender, add creamed corn, Rice Chex, and a couple shots of Jagermeister, put it on pureé, digest it and crap it out onto a Kaiser roll. Easier said then done.

  2. Hey Pete, just an FYI, a lot of your images aren’t showing up on your posts. Not sure if it’s on my end or not, but just thought I’d let you know.

Looking forward to getting a copy of the Blitz; saw the trailer a couple weeks ago, it looked like an epic trip!

  3. Glad to hear that even the bass in FLA are fickle. I’ve got high hopes for that fly in some pike water. Unfortunately it’s doubtful that I’ll fish for pikre this season so it’s up to you, Pete. Keep us posted.
