in his own words, somehow more poignant now:
That song keeps popping up on random play on my ipod this week. Weird.
My Army buds and I saw them open for Public Enemy in Germany while we were stationed there. It was my 21st birthday. They played NSTB at our request. Silly.
PE in the house. That must have been one hell of a show.
About 30-minutes after PE took the stage (and after they rocked Welcome to the Terrordome) Chuck D called-out the Germans as a racist nation, dropped the mic and they all walked-off.
On the bright-side, the Beasties had already taken over half of PE’s stage-time in addition to their own.
Weird that he did it 30 minutes into the set. Kind of like eating most of a meal before returning it because you’re unsatisfied.
I always figured he had contractual obligations…gotta play to get paid.
Start a fishing blog and one day you’ll learn something new about Chuck D.
