There are some parallels here. If it hits a fly, I am going to cast to it without shame. When a gil or sunny hits a popper on a three-weight and turns its side to the fight, the rod bends all the same.

Some fish, like little dogs, aren’t aware of their size limitations in relation to their aggression. So they take on things they shouldn’t and get into some trouble for it sometimes. But all fun for me, nonetheless.
